Monique L. Berkley is an award-winning writer, director, and producer whose work amplifies the voices of resilient, empowered, and trailblazing women. A Harlem native, Monique earned her Theater degree from Marymount Manhattan College and built her craft as a stage actress at Playwrights Horizons and The American Theater of Actors, later branching out into television and independent film.
After earning a master’s degree in Media Management, Monique produced and directed the award-winning short film ‘I Hate This Fkn’ Job’, a compelling story celebrating the inner-strength of ambitious women. The film has screened at numerous festivals and was featured at the National Urban League.
As creator and executive producer of the docu-series ‘What About Her’, Monique is simultaneously pursuing her second master’s degree at Columbia University, sharpening her skills in media, storytelling, and technology management. She continues to break new ground, while expanding her creative reach across film, television, music, and sports. As an emerging leader and executive producer, Monique brings stories to life with a keen eye and a relentless passion for creative innovation.
